Thank you for your interest in supporting the Financial Planning Association (FPA®) of Utah. We understand that building a long-term, meaningful relationship is of utmost importance to you and your organization. Partnering with the FPA of Utah can be the first step in becoming a recognized member of the financial planning community.
We are the local chapter of the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®), the largest membership organization for CFP® professionals in the U.S. and includes members who support the financial planning process. Working in alliance with academic leaders, legislative and regulatory bodies, financial services firms and consumer interest organizations, FPA helps connect all in our membership through a variety of unique and compelling ways. FPA members adhere to the highest standards of professional competence, ethical conduct and clear, complete disclosure to those they serve. FPA membership consists of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERS™, educators, financial services professionals, students and more. FPA is compensation neutral and represents those from diverse backgrounds and business models. FPA's unique network of nationwide chapters encourage professional development and networking on a local level.
Members of our organization pay annual dues that cover the costs of meals, administration, and fees to support our national organization. Your funding helps support our local mission of furthering the CFP® Professional in the eyes of the community through continuing education, pro bono work, and protecting the public. Without this community of support, our organization would miss out on a great portion of our mission.
We currently have 140+ members that are engaged in some form of financial planning. Our annual symposium, an all-day event, attracts an attendance of typically 110 to 130 members and our quarterly meetings attendance is around 60+ individuals. These meetings are held in the morning and include breakfast first, followed by 3 hours of continuing education.
